Mar-a-Lago is a luxury property in Palm Beach, Florida . It was designed by the architect Joseph Urban designed and completed in 1927 for Marjorie Merriweather Post , the owner of the General Foods group Corporation . It has been owned by Donald Trump since 1985. The usable area of the building is 10,000 m², it is located on a plot of approx. 35,000 m² directly by the sea.
In 1985, Donald Trump bought the then contractor in New York , was the property for 5 million US dollars - far below the market value. Donald Trump had the building extensively renovated, and he made part of the site his private club in 1995.
In 2000 the property was valued at approximately $ 70 million and today in 2020 the property is increased to approximately $ 70 million.
Estimated $ 250-300 million!
The exterior of the luxury club is quite impressive. In addition to its own golf course and a large pool, Mar-A-Lago offers water on both sides: To the west, the property borders on Florida's Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, a 4800-kilometer-long waterway. To the east, Mar-A-Lago offers its visitors direct access to the Atlantic Ocean.
